Sharpening set PETROGRAD N3, for knives, 3 stones
Sharpening set PETROGRAD N3.Water stones. Grain size: 150, 360, 500, 1000, 1500 and 2000. Size 15х15х120mm. Abrasive grain - silicon carbide. Bundle - ceramics. Hardness I ensures minimal wear of the stone during operation. When sharpening does not overheat the steel. Does not require the use of oil. Soak in water for 2-10 minutes before use. Used for sharpening and setting bevels.
High sharpening performance, second only to diamond, is ensured by the use of silicon carbide abrasive grains, which are notable for their sharpness and brittleness. The high hardness of carbide-silicon grinding materials allows you to confidently process not only carbon steels, but also hard alloys, which is impossible on stones made of electro-alumina powders. Sharpening set PETROGRAD N6, for woodworking tools, 3 stones
Набор заточной ПЕТРОГРАДЪ N6, для столярных инструментов, 3 камня (рекомендован Ф.А.Бондаревым). Зернистость: 800, 4000 и 6000. Размер 200х70х20мм. Абразивное зерно - карбид кремния. Связка - керамика. Твёрдость I обеспечивает минимальный износ камня при работе. При заточке не перегревается сталь. Не требует использования масла. Перед использованием замочить в воде на 2-10 мин. Используются для заточки и задания скосов. Абразивный камень Петроградъ Бриз #4000, водный камень на основе кварцевого зерна 3мкм. на керамической связке, имеющий в маркировке указание зернистости по Jis.
Камни 3000 и 6000грит производятся в Япония, по заказу фабрики ПЕТРОГРАД. Ориентированы под наши размеры.
С марта 2016 года для брусков, выпускаемых под торговой маркой " Петроградъ" будет применяться новая маркировка характеристики.

Carving axe Zvenigorod VII is quite small and easy to control. It's weight is about 650g, makes it maneuverable and allows you to work more accurate and precise.
The shape of the axe head was designed for carving operations where palm is resting extreamly close to axe head or even on the axe head. This design helps to exelent control of the axe even during long carving sessions. Grip above the head is used for trimming, stripping. This axe model was based on samples from museum "Rubankov" and finalized taking into account the wishes of wood carvers.
The axe head is hand forged from steel 65Г (spring steel) and hardened to 55 - 58 HRc at the cutting edge and along the entire beard, the rest part is normalized to HB280. This hardening allows you to hit the poll without the risk of creating a cracks in the metal.
Head has mounted to handle on 3 wedges, one along the head eye and two in cross section.
Cutting edge is razor sharp and ready to work out of the box. Sharpening angle - 30 degrees.
Axe handle is made of maple* and coated with Danish oil**. The hatchet handle has a longitudinal bend. In cross-section the handle has the shape of an egg, which is very convenient for good grip while carving. Handle has a hole for hanging.
