Description
The forged drawknife bent in two directions has an advantage over other non-linear drawknives in convenience and control. The blade is forged manually from tool steel 65G (Germany 66Mn4, Ck67, USA 1066) and hardened to 55-58 HRC. Handles 140 mm long are made of beech and impregnated with oil. Blade length - 270 mm, width 36 mm. Blade thickness - 6 mm, sharpening angle - 30 degrees. Comes in a leather case with a clasp on the buttons. The total length of the drawknife is 650 mm. The design of the drawknives, as well as their sharpening, is recommended by the Russian Carpenters Union for debarking and carpentry work on fitting logs. Other kinds of carpentry work may require regrinding. Blade was fully hardened through, that allows you to repeatedly honing the blade or his fully re-grind it.
