- Carpenter drawknife PETROGRAD N6, German type, 270mm
Carpenter drawknife PETROGRAD N6, German type, 270mm
Description
A flat scraper with handles perpendicular to the cutting edge will be convenient for various operations both in carpentry and in joinery: debarking logs, Windsor chairs, etc. Handles in the same plane with the blade allow you to achieve easy control of the tool. The blade is hand forged from 9xc tool steel and hardened to 55 ... 58 HRC. The handles are 140mm long, made of beech wood and coated with oil. Cutting length - 170mm or 270mm, width 36mm. Blade thickness - 6mm, sharpening angle - 30 degrees. Supplied in a comfortable leather case with snap fasteners. The design of the scrapers, as well as their sharpening, are recommended by the "Union of Carpenters" for debarking and carpentry work on the adjustment of logs. Other carpentry and joinery work may require regrinding. Hardening of the scrapers is through, this allows you to repeatedly perform both the finishing of the tool and its complete regrinding.
This staple is a carpentry tool.
The shackle is forged by hand, a slight bend of no more than 1.5 mm is allowed.
Manufactured in Petrograd (Russia).
