Straight gouge Petrograd is suitable for a variety of tasks, from creating curly shapes to selecting a background. This tools can be used beveled up or down to create concave or convex surfaces. Petrograd chisels are forged from alloyed high-carbon steel. Hardened to a hardness of 59-61 HRc. The faceted handle is made of precious wood and coated with oil. The impact side is rounded so as not to crush calluses on the palms.
The brass ring gives a sophisticated look and prevents the handle from cracking. The internal profile of the chisel is polished, the cutting edge is sharpened and ready to work. These models are not percussion, but they can be paired with a mallet. The stated geometric dimensions may vary slightly, as the tool is made and sharpened by hand.
