Wood carving axe Zvenigorod VII . This axe is made for artistic processing of wood, such as carving sculptures, bowl carving, dish carving and other stuff.

Carving axe Zvenigorod VII is quite small and easy to control. It's weight is about 650g, makes it maneuverable and allows you to work more accurate and precise.
The shape of the axe head was designed for carving operations where palm is resting extreamly close to axe head or even on the axe head. This design helps to exelent control of the axe even during long carving sessions. Grip above the head is used for trimming, stripping. This axe model was based on samples from museum "Rubankov" and finalized taking into account the wishes of wood carvers.
The axe head is hand forged from steel 65Г (spring steel) and hardened to 55 - 58 HRc at the cutting edge and along the entire beard, the rest part is normalized to HB280. This hardening allows you to hit the poll without the risk of creating a cracks in the metal.
Head has mounted to handle on 3 wedges, one along the head eye and two in cross section.
Cutting edge is razor sharp and ready to work out of the box. Sharpening angle - 30 degrees.
Axe handle is made of maple* and coated with Danish oil**. The hatchet handle has a longitudinal bend. In cross-section the handle has the shape of an egg, which is very convenient for good grip while carving. Handle has a hole for hanging.

Резец C-1, имеет 1 пирамидальный зуб. Угол вершины 90 и 60 градусов. Резец продается в сборе, имеют удобную рукоять из бука и шток с установленной на нем рабочей частью. Все резцы изготовлены из стали, прошли процесс закалки и обработки, для продолжительной и надежной работы.
Имеет V-образную форму с зубцами по обе стороны. Резец С-1 предназначен для нанесения оригинального макета рисунка, а также для углубления канавок после их нанесения, другими резцами.
Деревянная рукоятка хорошо сбалансирована и удобно лежит в руке.
На фотографии детально показаны зубцы. Обратите внимание на высокую рельефность, обеспечивающую быструю и ровную нарезку. Зубцы обеспечивает хорошее удаление всех твердых пород древесины.
