Description
The planer bench has many names. In the foreign version, this is Shaving horse (shaving horse), we often call it “Cooper's bench”.
The cooper bench has such a name because the coopers traditionally hewed rivets on it using a staple. Hence another name "bench for working with a scraper." Well, no matter how funny the “pedal horse” sounds, this is also about this unit.
Shaving horse is indispensable when working with staples, chips on long straight or slightly curved workpieces.
The workpiece is fixed by pressing the pedal with one foot. The workpiece is placed on the working table and clamped on top with a clamping sponge, which are covered with leather so as not to damage the parts.
The design of the horse is collapsible. All parts are fastened with bolts and self-locking nuts, as well as with wooden wedges.
Bench dimensions: height 860 mm, length of the bench itself 1650 mm (excluding the fact that the legs have a slope), width about 500 mm
The seat has the ability to adjust both horizontally (5 options) and vertically (stroke about 5 cm)
The minimum workpiece thickness is 1mm, the maximum workpiece thickness is 90mm.
The pedal for convenience has the ability to adjust in 2 positions.
The bench is made of beech wood.
